    So I'm two challenges off completing my second save file -- my struggle street this time around being Ultra Hard. I finally had a run that was going reasonably well and make it to Mega Satan's door with 5 red hearts, 15 bombs, Pyromaniac and Bob's Brain (in a pinch). My build is no where near OP but I have enough explosives to drip feed myself health until that son-bitch is dead.

    I pop open one of the four default Dark Room red chests to find a lovely and most unexpected pedestal item. Of course being Ultra Hard, curse of the blind is in effect so no idea what it is, but hey, it could be Soy Milk and I'd still have been reasonably confident with that level of health. Elatedly I wonder if it's Cricket's Head or the Magic Mushroom.

    I take it.

    I die inside.

    I've picked up Dead Cat.

    Health resets to a single red heart.

    Pyromaniac is useless because a single hit insta-kills me. I've gone from hero to zero, effectively becoming the Lost minus flight and spectral tears.

    Scour the rest of the level for a health up of any kind that doesn't exist.

    Die 9 times.

    Resist urge to throw Switch through an open window. Barely.

    I fucking love this game.

    "Greed Kills"

    Character : Isaac

    Treasure Rooms : No

    Shops : Yes

    Starting Items :

    • Magneto
    • Mom's Purse
    • Flat Penny
    • Burnt Penny

    Goal :

    • Beat Isaac/Satan

    Rules :

    • Bombs and Keys are replaced by Coins
    • Shops have the Combined item pool of The Treasure room & Shop
    • Having 16 or More Coins, And picking up a Coin will Harm isaac for 1 Heart.
    • Making 3 or More shop purchases In one chapter (I.E Basement or Depths) Will Reduce isaac to half of his Current health. (Rounds down, in case isaac has Uneven Health)
    • An exception would be Devil Deals.

    Unlock Method :

    • Have 50 or more Coins at a time as the Keeper.

    Item Unlock :

    "Ring of Gold" (Passive Item)

    • As long as the isaac has 10 or Less Coins, Killing enemies will drop a penny.
    • This does not apply to bosses in the same way, They always drop a Dime.
