    Hello everyone,

    In preparation for Repentances release, we have decided to release an FAQ to try and clean up the subreddit and keep things fresh, the FAQ contains questions often seen about Rebirth, Afterbirth and Afterbirth+ as well as rare occurrences in the game. It also has answers and general news updates for Repentance. There is now an added rule that you should read the FAQ before posting as if your post is answered in the FAQ, your post will be removed. The FAQ will be updated when new repentance news is released, or when it has released and all its mechanics are explored, so check the FAQ regularly to make sure your question isn't in there.     We are also aware that the Isaac Daily Run bot has stopped working, we are not 100% sure why this is and have no ETA for a fix, its been great to see the manual daily posts to fill in until the bot is back up and running.

    We will continue to make changes to the subreddit in preparation to Repentances release and as always we are open to suggestions on how to make this subreddit better and appreciate any feedback.

    Trisagian kinda sucks. Each tick the beam is over an enemy, it does 33% of your tear damage. If your shot speed is too high, you'll only be doing 2/3 or even 1/3 of your tear damage. This synergy, where the length of the beam scales with range, changes that.

    Isaac FAQ:

    I've collected all the items in the game, why haven't I unlocked …?

    The most likely reason if you play on exclusively hard mode is that the Blue Conjoined Fatties only spawn on Normal Mode, also there are certain challenges which are not mentioned in the game, look on the wiki for more info

    How did I get two secret and one super secret rooms on one floor?

    If you get three secret rooms on the same floor it's because you have Fragmented Card.

    This special room looks different than usual?

    If there's an angel statue in the devil room/item room with no items/item room with two items/shop with only one item that's a rare but possible occurrence.

    I just beat a boss but got no completion mark, why did this happen?

    If you beat a boss and don't get the completion mark did you: a) use a seed b) use a mod c) change characters during the run d) do it on a victory lap? e) do it in a challenge

    Why is my Devil Deal chance at zero percent on the second floor?

    If your devil room chance is at 0% on the second floor it means the boss room is a small room, this prevents the devil room from spawning.

    Why have I started with an item / started with two items as eden?

    Eden's Blessing gives your next run a random starting item regardless of character (Except when on a seeded run, daily run, challenge run, etc,)

    I had a 100% angel deal chance but still got a devil deal. How did this happen?

    You can get a devil room with a 100% angel room chance because the angel room stats don't add up properly. The only way to guarantee an angel room is with Eucharist or by teleporting with the sac room.The highest Angel Room chance is 95.25% in Rebirth and 98.34% in Afterbirth (with the Sacrifice Room blessings)

    Why did the angel not drop a key piece?

    Angels drop angel room items rather than key pieces if you hold Filigree Feather.

    Why can't I find the secret room?

    Secret rooms can border two rooms or one room if there are no viable locations surrounded by three or four rooms.

    How does the Greed Machine work?

    The percentage at the left-hand side when filling the Greed machine shows the probability that the machine will jam. This probability is set to each character, so for best chances, play a variety of characters. It is possible to jam the machine at 0% as the number is rounded to a whole number

    Why did Delirium almost instantly die?

    Delirium's health sometimes drops to 10% if he turns into certain champion versions of Larry Jr or the Hollow regardless of how much damage was dealt beforehand.

    I'm late for boss rush but the door is still open?

    The door to Boss Rush stays open after 20 minutes if you are holding the Broken Shovel. It can also be opened with mama mega

    Why is my shop emptier than everyone else's?

    The Shop upgrades with donations (a frequent question from newcomers who watched others)

    Rare Occurrences

    Angel statues can appear in the devil room.

    Item rooms very rarely spawn with no items or double items.

    Shop can occasionally spawn with only one item, regardless of how much money has been donated.

    The dressing table can give you a Mom item instead of pills.

    Bumbo can drop pedestal items when fully levelled up.

    Blended black hearts don't exist, they are caused by a half red heart appearing on top of a black heart.

    Big Horn can spawn Little Horn.

    A delirium portal can spawn in the Mom fight, meaning you can beat Delirium before your first Mom's Heart kill.

    With proper positioning and high enough speed (2.0), curse rooms won't deal damage

    Shopkeepers have a chance of dropping Steam Sale, Head of the Keeper or Coupon when bombed

    Repentance FAQ:

    When will Repentance be released?

    Repentance does not have a confirmed release date, but the steam page has a placeholder date of 31 December 2020, with no release date for consoles

    How much will Repentance cost?

    The price will be between 12-15USD

    Can I only buy Repentance?

    Afterbirth and Afterbirth + are needed to use Repentance

    Will Repentance be coming to consoles?

    Repentance is confirmed for switch, though it will be coming later than the PC version, no other consoles are confirmed as of now.

    Will Repentance be coming to Mac?

    Repentance is not coming to Mac

    The system requirements for this game seem insanely high. Will I Be able to run it?

    The system requirements on the steam page are jokes and are not accurate to what the game will require, if your machine can run afterbirth, expect it to also run repentance.

    What is in the new DLC?

    The DLC will feature the antibirth mod as well as some brand-new items and bosses not from a mod.

    I've played antibirth, will there be any differences?

    Antibirth will have balance and general changes to make it more in line with base Isaac similar to the booster packs that came after Afterbirth +

    Will there be any changes to previous parts of the game?

    Repentance will have balance changes to the base game, such as Krampus' head now have 3 charges and a light rework of the keeper among other things

    Misc.

    Curses will have a small icon below the map when active on the current floor

    Lots of brand-new synergies for existing items have been made

    It is unknown whether there will be booster packs after Repentance

    True co-op is coming in Repentance, it is currently unclear what will happen to the co-op babies and their unlock slots
