Merry Sunday, folks. And, to the dads out there, I hope you are having an exceptional father's day. To everybody else, future people, or those who would rather I didn't mention the holiday—my apologies, I hope you are living your best live whatever time of day it is. In the spirit of Possibly But Maybe Not Father's Day, I figured I would uh...go with the character based on Isaac's mom! There are hugs involved, I figured it all about lined up.

One of the many mechanically interesting additions from the Tainted roster, Tainted Maggy certainly packs a punch. Or, well, packs a mean hug? I have an uncle whose hugs knock the wind outta ya, which I'd always chalked up to him being an oddball, but it does explain the nosebleeds. In a single DLC, the game went from a single "melee" character to just about 5 of 'em. You know her, you love her, it's Tainted Magdalene!

Tainted Magdalene

Health: 2 Red Hearts, 2 Draining Red Hearts (Empty)

Damage: 3.5 * 0.75

Tears: 0

Shot Speed: 1

Range: 6.5

Speed: 1

Luck: 0

Pickups: None

Items: Yum Heart (Pocket)

Unlock: Use Red Key or Cracked Key on the Home closet as Magdalene

Character Attributes: Regular Maggy is a bit of a newbie's dream—more health, an easy means of regen, and a spiffy hairstyle to boot. Tainted Maggy, then, is all about taking damage to make regen work for you! All health is fleeting (besides 2 "permanent" hearts which don't drain and do affect Deal chance), and slowly drains away at the rate of a 1/2 red heart every 10 seconds (there's a metaphor there somewhere). To compensate, Tainted Maggy heals double from all sources, and has a unique hug attack which deals 6x damage to enemies on contact and drops a 1/2 Red Heart if it kills. Plus, she has nifty red creep while health drains. So come on, go share the love!
