    So, i started a new save file after not playing for like 1 year or so, and i don't like the Challenges, but i wanna do they to unlock the ítems, so, Head Trauma is giving me some trouble along with Cat Got Your Tongue, any special tips?

    Opening chests with The Forgotten?

    Basically, I was doing a run for the Boss Rush as the Forgotten. I found a spiked chest and, with Chocolate Milk, I hit it with a fully charged club attack. It opened and I didn't take any damage. I think this might've happened before in The Chest but I was unsure.

    Any comments on this? Can The Forgotten open chests for free or something?

    Achievement deleted?

    So I just beat the challenge Purist yesterday (since I only have Rebirth) and unlocked Berkano. Today I open up steam and find out that the achievement of the unlock disappeared, as well as my progresses with the challenge and the rune itself! Has that already happened before? And, most importantly, does that still happen to this day? (sorry for the bad English, I'm Italian)

    I missed out on the sale recently on the PS4. Surprisingly the DLCs are out of my price range even if Isaac may be one of my favorite games. So I'm looking for the sale again. Anyway I can know ahead if they'll be on sale? Thanks.

    Just beat Ultra Greed with Lost (no holy mantle)!

    I've been trying to grind the greed machine to get Holy Mantle for The Lost, and I thought "what the hell lemme just try Greed with the Lost" - and I beat him first time. So many close calls, but wooden cross was my saving grace 😁

    TL;DR at the bottom.

    It was about two years ago. I was at my friend's when he suggested to play The Binding of Isaac. "Fine", I said, "I've never played this game before". I found it was really funny, so I thought about buying it. €35. Being the broke university student I am, every purchase matters at the end of the month. And this is when I had the idea.

    "I can crack it for now. Have some fun. If it will be worth my money, I'll buy it". As day passed, I started to save money whenever I could. And then, an article appeared in my news feed: "The Binding of Isaac: Repentance". You can guess how I reacted to it. "If I have to spend my money, I can wait for the next game". I know: it's immoral. And I have no excuses about being unfair towards the game developers.

    I almost immediately started to play Hard mode only, 'cause "one day or another I'll have to play it. Better start now". Months passed, and I'd completed almost every hard mode completition mark as every character (Keeper was the one who mostly screwed my runs). And, for whatever reason, I had also started completing challenges from harder to easier. Because hard challenge = hard fun.

    Fast forward a couple of days ago. Almost every completition mark was done. 1/2 challenges done. I felt I might have completed my first safe file in a couple of months. Being the curios guy I am, I started to look out for dev modes. TBOI developer mode is quite fun, but it somehow missed something. I looked up for something on the internet. "TBOI cheat engine scripts". Wow, nice! I love when someone messes up with game codes. Jesus how I was wrong.

    Downloaded it. Loaded my save. "Fast shot". Felt like Cancer messed up with a gatling. Did some researches, like how much damage did Ultra Greed / Delirium armor soaked. Damage was, in fact, scaled, but the armor could nothing against the cheated fire rate. FYI, I had disabled achievements during cheated runs, because I didn't want to ruin my progress.

    During a Lilith OP run, I ended up in the Dark Room. I had had one of my easiest battles against the Lamb. It was then that I started thinking about how would I have matched against Mega Satan, but sadly I had only 1 key piece and no dad key. But wait: I can modify my active item with CE!

    "Player pointers... Active item... Dad's key! Enable".

    Needless to say, the screen blacked out. I thought it was just a crash. Dudes, how was I wrong.

    Tried to restart it. Error: steam_api_dll not found. Fuck. I tried to locate the save files with no success. But wait, I still have the .iso file! Maybe if I run it, it will repair the broken/missing files! I don't know how I managed to believe this idiotic theory, but I did. I installed the whole game again. Double clicked the .exe. It led me to the TBOI steam page. Maybe I have to install the crack another time, but I don't want to download it again. I owe €35 to the authors of this game. Will I buy Afterbirth? I'll be honest: I don't think so. I'll wait for Repentance. You might see my financial problems as an excuse, but I can't support this game more than that. I can't affort to spend €60 on a videogame, and buying Afterbirth instead of Repentance would be irrelevant to the developers.

    Maybe talking how I pirated a game on the game's very subreddit isn't a bright thing to do. I know that I deserve all the hate I'll get. But I wanted to share my story with you, hoping that someone will learn something from my experience. Losing all the time I had put into this game was a heavy blow, and I think every one of you will agree with this. But it was deserved.

    My final advice the following: if you really like something, don't wait to show your appreciation in a meaningful way. Behind every videogame, every dinner, every road there's someone that worked hard for you. Don't be a dick like me.

    TL;DR I pirated a copy of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+. After a couple hundred hours of gameplay, I've lost every progression.

    EDIT I'm an idiot who thought that Repentance would have been a standalone game.
