It is once again Friday, dorks & dweebs, and what better way to get down than descending into the unknown depths below? We've waded through pouring rains, tunneled through dusty shafts, and now it is time to pay respects to the dead! ^{^{^{^rip}}} ^{^{^{^machine}}} ^{^{^ⁱⁿ}} ^{^{^{^the}}} ^{^{^{^walls}}}

The third of Repentance's many new floors, this bad boy is as pretty as it is deadly. Hold on to your hats, because there are spike blocks abound, and I'd rather not see you poor fools crushed against a wall on a good Tainted Lost run (pour one out). Purple, eerie, and part three of the path to Mother, this floor certainly packs a punch. Or, well, a snap, if you happen to catch an enemy's angry eye. Yes, today we're talking about the Mausoleum! Let's get discussing 🕶

Mausoleum

• Mausoleum is the second of eight new floors added in Repentance (alongside Downpour, Dross, Mines, Ashpit, Gehenna, Corpse, and Home)

• Mausoleum is an occult-themed floor, featuring psychic enemies, teleporters, and moving spike blocks which should burn in Gehenna

• Mausoleum can be accessed after Mines II or Depths I via a sacrificial door after the boss fight, which can be opened using 2 hearts (free on The Lost/Tainted Lost)

• All treasure rooms have at least 2 items to choose from, with 1 always being a Blind item

• Mausoleum II acts as an alternative to Depths II, featuring a more difficult version of Mom, Boss Rush (closed after 25 minutes, rather than 20), and a sealed womb-like door which contains an alternate version of Mom's Heart, and must be opened using Knife Piece 1 & 2 (allowing access to Corpse)

• The bosses of Mausoleum are The Heretic, The Siren, and Mausoleum Mom + Mom's Heart (Mausoleum 2)
