I was going to do a little riff on Sunday morning, but alas, it's neither morning nor pouring. Regardless, welcome back, dorks & dweebs, to Character Discussion. We've only got ~~a handful~~ two handfuls left to tackle, and what better one for this lovely Sunday afternoon than the Tainted version of Isaac himself. I would wax poetic a little longer, but I am being called to crush my family members at dominoes, so let's get rolling 🕶

[Tainted Isaac]

Health: 3 Red Hearts

Damage: 3.5 * 1.0

Tears: 0

Shot Speed: 1

Range: 6.5

Speed: 1.0

Luck: 0

Pickups: 1 Bomb

Items: None

Unlock: Use Red Key or Cracked Key on the Home closet as Isaac

Character Attributes: Ah, Isaac. The default character, near and dear to all our hearts, starts out as...well, pretty bland. Until, of course, you beat Isaac with ??? and unlock the D6, when the character really comes into his own. Tainted Isaac is that core aspect of regular Isaac—choice—with some added bells and whistles. Every (non-story item) pedestal rotates between 2 options, giving the character a ton of in-built flexibility and snowball potential. On the other hand, you've gotta choose wisely: only 8 items can be held at a time. Tainted Isaac is all about juggling your options to create the strongest build possible.

Well heck, the weekend has come and gone! Working from home has the days of the week feel rather meaningless, but at least I've got these Discussion posts to orient me. Monday is upon us once more, and it's time to roll the dice on which item we've got to discuss today. Aw, heck, it fell off the table—guess that means we're pulling from the Trinket pool instead.

My wonderful dorks and dweebs, welcome to Trinket Discussion #7. I'd appreciate some suggestions for trinkets y'all would like to dig into, since I honestly can't think of too many flashy Repentance ones that we haven't delved into already (besides, like, Perfection). In the mean time, we've got today's rad little sack of treats—it's Dice Bag!

Bonus roll

• While held, entering a new room has a 50% chance to give Isaac a single-use Dice consumable (does not replace currently-held consumables), which disappears on exiting the room

• Any die item—sans Spindown Dice, D Infinity, Cracked Dice, and Dice Shard—can be granted as a consumable

Unlock: Defeat Mother as Tainted Isaac
