Alright, new schedule: late night posts. Cool? Cool. Truth be told, it's a touch more my speed. To my US audience—my apologies. To everybody else, here's to you. Anyways, logistics out of the way, Sunday has crept on us once again. That means, of course, that today is another Character Discussion.

The roster continues to dwindle, but we've still got a few choice discussions to dig into, starting with our main man here. Truth be told, in a stacked roster, Tainted Samson has always seemed like a bit of a weak link. But hey, maybe this dork stands alone on that hot take. It's Character Discussion #11: let's get berserk!

[Tainted Samson]

Health: 3 Red Hearts

Damage: 3.5 * 1.0

Tears: 2.5

Shot Speed: 1

Range: 5

Speed: 1.0

Luck: 0

Pickups: None

Items: None

Unlock: Use Red Key or Cracked Key on the Home closet as Samson

Character Attributes: Tainted freaking Samson. Base Samson is all about getting angry—take hits, get swole. Take more hits, get super swole. Tainted Samson flips that around, making things a lot less Bloody Lust and a whole lot more Lusty Blood. Tainted Samson grows redder on taking or dealing damage, until eventually going Berserk, gaining +0.4 Speed, +0.75 Tears, and +3 Damage. In Berserk mode, Samson uses a jawbone melee weapon (a la Forgotten) which deals 3x Damage on strikes, 1.5x Damage on ranged hits, and reflects projectiles. Berserk Samson returns to normal after 5s, though gains 1s every enemy kill (as well as +0.4 Speed). Additionally, Samson will remain alive in Berserk state even at no health, dying after transforming back. Tainted Samson, baby 🕶
