    You know what's spookier than the spookiest day of the win? I'd imagine thinking that Item Discussions were gone without a trace. Yes, I did take a beat to let the State of The Zonkposting & Console Announcement posts soak up some of the Daily Discussion glory. Hope everybody's Halloween weekend was a blast and a half, and the start of your November has been equally as lovely. And now, back to our regularly scheduled business. It's Item Discussion #108: let's talk Bloody Gust!

    • Speed gained per hit is (0.04x Hits Taken) + 0.07

    • Tears gained per hit is (0.1x Hits Taken) + 0.25

    • Both effects stack up to 6 times, for a total of +1.02 Speed, +3 Tears

    Nicalis' attempt at porting the game is really bad

    I have no interest in buying the console versions since I already purchased the PC version in March, but the long-awaited console ports look like the result of Nicalis doing the bare minimum.

    It is no secret that only one person is currently responsible for the updates, which would be the lead developer of Repentance, Kilburn. It appears like a highly questionable decision to dump the task of fixing tons of bugs and incomplete features on one person, especially since the Nicalis team consists of multiple developers who previously worked on Isaac. Combined with the little information we received regarding the upcoming updates, many people imagined that Nicalis would be busy doing the console ports simultaneously to Kilburn's efforts at fixing the game. They also put large emphasis on releasing all console versions on the same time, making clear that an "Afterbirth+ releases two and a half years later on XBox" situation wouldn't happen again.

    Instead of revealing proper information regarding the ports, Tyrone kept hyping up the fanbase by posting several photos of Repentance running on consoles. And after eight months after the initial release on PC, Repentance would be finally released on November 4th... only in North Amercia... in an unfinished state.

    Promising a simultaneous release on all consoles, only to neglect all players outside of America is incredibly disappointing. The update which appeared to be the main reason why the console versions have been delayed so many times will not be available on launch, and there seem to be a bunch of other complications as well.

    Remaining completely silent for the majority of the year, then suddenly hyping up the console release, only to reveal at the last minute that they did the absolute bare minimum to port the game is simply pitiful. Nicalis already has a questionable reputation and their current actions simply worsens their bad image.

    Why the hell is Repentance only being offered as an expansion on PS4 and Switch for $20, while next gen consoles are forced to pay $60 for it? Yes I am aware that the next gen versions come with EVERYTHING, but unless I'm misunderstanding, that means PS5 and Xbox Series X users that already have purchased all previous DLC still have to pay 60 bones for Repentance?

    As the title says, I just beat Mom for the very first time and this game is really, really fun. The adrenaline I felt going through the different rooms on the last level was an awesome feeling. All I can really say is that I'm really loving this game so far, despite how hard of a time it's giving me
