    Unpopular Opinion: Time gated bosses take a massive amount of fun out of the game

    Pretty much all I have left now is BR/Hush/Delirium with several characters. And there's a reason they're all that's left. Not because they take a godly amount of skill. But because I have limited free time to play and timed encounters are a sloppy way of adding difficulty to a game.

    First of all, it isn't fun. Sure for some people, there might be a thrill in trying to beat the clock. But the whole beauty of this game comes down to taking your time, beating enemies at their own game, exploring, getting all you can out of the shop. Look at players like Sinvicta. One of the best, and his runs are never fast. Why? Because he takes his time. He milks the game for everything it can give.

    For a sub 20 minute boss rush run as the lost, the keeper etc, your run has to be strong. And statistically with the massive item pool that just doesn't happen much. I can't remember the last memorable strong run I had that wasn't Tech X, which is just the most free way to win. So do you waste your time just going for it anyway? Reset after your first devil deal? Do you just reset until you get something strong to start with? These methods work and will usually net you a decent amount of time saved. But they also defeat the point. It shouldn't be necessary.

    I can think of a lot of creative barriers you can lock bosses behind other than having to speed your way through and hope for the best. The first half of this game was an absolute blast. The second half is an absolute slog. But I persist. Because those sweet, chill, take all the time you want Eden streaks are calling to me. It'll be worth it.

    I'm new to the game, happened to unlock Azazel by sheer luck when playing as Lazarus. Now every character other than Azazel seems so much worse

    It feels so awkward not flying, your movement is way more limited, the damage you do goes from two shotting bosses as Azazel to fighting for 2-3 minutes as Isaac or Cain. I'm a complete noob but managed to kill mom's heart as him. Any way for me to see the light with other characters again?

    Struggling with the lost

    So I've been trying to get godhead and it's been good so far, I've beat everything including Hush and Delirium, the only two I'm having trouble with is ultra greedier and mega satan, specifically getting to mega satan and getting through greedier mode, anyone have any tips?
