As /u/DeSteph-DeCurry so aptly reminded me, new posts do mean I have to write a new intro! Oops, oops, oops. Alas, today's item was so uninspiring my eyes glazed over that part of my daily duties.

Nonetheless, that is no excuse for laziness. Spin to Win is a valued member of the Repentance ensemble, and deserves a participation trophy like everybody else. We might even have to give one to It Hurts at some point, although that day is certainly a long way off. Hope all you lovely dorks had a wonderful Tuesday, and are ready to twirl your beautiful butts over here for today's Item Discussion. We're talking Spin to Win, baby!

Spin to Win

Let it rip!

Item Effect

• Spin to Win grants a passive spinning top orbital that blocks enemy shots and deals contact damage (3.5 per tick, or 10.5 per second)

• While the use active key is being held, Isaac gains +0.5 Speed and gives all familiars increased contact damage (1.5 x Contact Damage + 6), including ones which don't deal contact damage

• Isaac's effective speed can be higher than 2.0 while the item is active, even if the stat is capped

• Isaac can stop using Spin to Win at any time by releasing the use item button, at which point Spin to Win starts recharging

• Blue flies and blue spiders are affected by Spin to Win, and don't disappear while the item is in use
