    They were awful on day 1 and they still are today. No matter how good I am at dodging regular enemies, small rooms with 2+ portals or big rooms with like 3 or 4 portals always fuck me up. I recently had an 8 streak ended (yeah, 8 is high for me lmao) in the womb because of one ungodly room with like 4 portals in it, a bunch of harlequin babies jumping around and spawning under me, flying indestructible skulls everywhere, those red assholes that hide and pop up shooting shit at you that you can barely react fast too because of all the visual noise going on... like why.

    It was too much at once. I really don't understand the fucking portals, man. I heard a while ago that they were a design decision to help modded enemies show up more often as its easier to assign them to portals than it is to design specific rooms tailored to them?

    I long for the days of regular Afterbirth. I still like Afterbirth+ but some new enemies are just baffling. 3 years on and I also still cringe everytime I see those mushrooms and that dumb looking spider with the mohawk or whatever that were added in Afterbirth+. Why are they incredibly tanky?

    Repentance should make some changes, I feel. I don't even care if an enemy is tanky if it shows up in the late game like Oobs, but you can find those spiders in like the first floor, wtf?

    Also, remember when portals used to spawn bosses? Jfc

    I have been trying for days now, I have tried being Isaac getting angel rooms D6... nothing. I have tried the lost, to make sure I get angel rooms.... nothing. I have even tried sitting in the starting room restarting as Eden in the hope I get the item. Nothing. Am I missing something?
