I always hit them while I'm backtracking.
Thought it was really cool that many of the bosses had posthumous and alternative forms, but couldn't find any charts showing the comparisons between them - so I made one myself! (Bosses with only one form not included. Sorry if there are any errors!)

Managed to find a pretty east heart dupe. Humbling Bundle + The Jar = a gamebreaking amount of double hearts. It gets insane towards the end... cant even get to the trap door... (Im trying VERY hard.)
I am joining the 3.8% of us masochistic enough on Steam to 100% this game. And it took me less than 3000 hours.

Given that Repentance is ONE WEEK AWAY and discussion and questions are already picking up, I'd like to pin a post so some of the scattered info on repentance can be easily found. This thread will also double as a general hype post for anyone just wanting a place to vent their hype without worrying about spamming unrelated posts.

This thread is a work in progress, so feel free to suggest any info that's not been added, and be wary that there will likely be spoilers in this thread, though we do ask that you mark any comments that may contain spoilers for now.

General Info:

What is Repentance?

Repentance is the "last" expansion for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, coming out at midnight (no timezone given yet) on March 31, 2021 on Steam. It is an adaptation of the Antibirth mod, but will contain more content as well.

How much does Repentance Cost?

Repentance is listed as $15 USD on the Steam Store.

Do I need Rebirth and/or Afterbirth and/or Afterbirth+ to play Repentance?

Yes. Repentance requires the base game Rebirth as well as its other two expansions, Afterbirth and Afterbirth+ to function.

Why is the only purchase option on Steam as a part of the complete bundle?

Because Repentance requires the previous expansions, this ensures that players won't buy the DLC and have to refund it due to it not functioning. Unfortunately this means that, AFAIK, it cannot be purchased as a gift to other accounts.

Will Repentance be coming to consoles?

Repentance has been confirmed to be releasing on Switch, PS4 and PS5 in Q3 2021 as well as Xbox One at a later date.

What about Mac?

Unfortunately Repentance will not be coming to Mac.

Will the base game/expansion be discounted on launch?

Most likely. Without any info from official sources, we can't say for sure, but it's a common trend on Steam to give the base game/older DLC a discount to promote new content.

Content:

What type of content will be added?

Confirmed so far is new items, bosses, enemies, and entirely alternate floor paths. The fine folks maintaining the wiki have analyzed all official gifs and videos, documenting all noticeable changes here.

I've heard something about a "True Co-op". What is that?

True Co-op is a feature where 2-4 players can play as separate characters, IE one player can play as Isaac while another can play as Maggy. Items picked up are not shared between players.

But what about the co-op babies?

True Co-op can only be started in the first room of a run. If a player attempts to join a run later, they will spawn in as a co-op baby.

Will Repentance change items/mechanics that already exist in the base game?

Yes. As with previous expansions, existing content will be tweaked and altered. Some notable instances being Blank Card no longer working with runes, buffs to some items widely considered "worthless" and a plethora of synergies that have been added to existing items.

Will this expansion be using Mudeth's Antibirth soundtrack?

Mudeth's soundtrack has been replaced with a new soundtrack from Ridiculon. Mudeth has stated in the past that he intends to create a "replacement soundtrack" that can be modded into the game separately.

The weekly dev blogs show off gameplay gifs, new songs and dev interviews if you want to find out more.

There's an anti-spoiler rule on the sub regarding Repentance content. Is that permanent?

No. The plan is to keep most "non-basic" elements (secret characters, endgame bosses, alternate level paths) spoiler marked for at least a week at the request of the Repentance team. We'll start easing up the restrictions as time goes on so we don't stifle all the posts behind a spoiler tag.

I want to datamine the game, can I post anything I find here?

Not for the foreseeable future. We don't want to outright ban all datamining because there's interesting information that can be gleaned from it (such as full spritework of Keeper originally looking like an old man), but there is a time and place for that type of content and the devs have asked us to keep it out of the sub for now. Please keep it to other communities if you wish to discuss datamined content.

I've heard something about there being an ARG regarding Repentance. What is that and where can I get more info?

Here's the ARG megapost that has a brief explanation of what an ARG is and summarizes some of the cryptic hints implying that there may be one for Repentance. Note that there hasn't been much progress or explicit confirmation that an ARG exists, but feel free to read through if you're interested.
