Another weekend has reached its conclusion, and Monday is upon us once more. You know what that means—Item Discussions, baby! Let me know if y'all like the current pseudo-schedule, otherwise you will be trapped with it forever with no means of escape. You have no mouth but you must complain about what a poor job /u/Nathansbud is doing, tbh.

Anyhow, welcome back, dorks & dweebs. Today, we're talking one of my personal favorite items in Repentance, and not just because I need something to dull the pain every time my endless thirst for zane leads to a Tears Down, Speed Down, Health Down, and Shot Speed Down in the same room. That damn Super Secret Room with 5 pills will be the death of me, I tell you. Unless, of course, I managed to snag a False PHD, then I'll be laughing my way to a cheeky +3 damage up 🕶

Oh, and if anybody is looking for some human body parts, I've got...a guy. No questions asked. Somebody has to be doing the hard science, man—your Robo-Babies had to come from somewhere, after all. False PHD!

False PHD

Worse pills + evil up

Item Effect

• Identifies all pills on pickup, and converts them to their worse counterparts (e.g. Stat Up becomes Stat Down)

• 'Stat Down' pills (and Experimental Treatment) give a permanent +0.6 Damage Up (Horse Pills +1.2), retroactively applied for any pills taken before False PHD

• Negative pills that don't affect stats (R U A Wizard?, Amnesia, Bad Trip, ???, Paralysis, Retro Vision, I'm Excited) spawn a black heart when used

• +1 Black Heart when picked up

Passive Item

Pool: Devil Room
