My apologies for the late posts lately, y'all—work has been hectic, and I'm kinda feeling like a great mighty poo. That's right, it's Friday once more, meaning it's time to continue our journey through the unknown depths below. Floor Discussion #6 is upon us, and what locale to herald this occasion than Dross!

If Downpour is the game's prettiest floor, then Dross is up there for the opposite honor. Despite this being a game where your mother's rotten womb is a valid setting for a level, being surrounded by sewage just gives me the creeps, man. But, what Dross lacks in beauty it more than makes up for by...showing up all the time? The chapter mightn't be my favorite, but unlike the Lorax, /u/Nathansbud doesn't speak for the dweebs. What do y'all think about Dross?

Dross

• Dross is one of eight new floors added in Repentance, and is the alternate floor for Downpour

• Dross is a sewer-themed floor, featuring noxious gas and poop-centric enemies, as well as alternate versions of Downpour enemies

• Dross (like Downpour) can be accessed after Basement 1 or 2 via a locked door after the boss fight, which can be opened using a single key

• All treasure rooms have at least 2 items to choose from, with 1 always being a Blind item

• Dross 2 will always contain an indestructible white fire and a room with a mirror. Touching the white fire will transform Isaac into The Lost, after which entering the mirror will transport Isaac to a flipped version of the floor with uncleared rooms and Knife Piece 1 in the Treasure Room

• The bosses of the Dross are Clog, Colostomia, Turdlet, Wormwood, Lil Blub

• Dross features some of the rarest rooms in the game, being the only floor where Henry and Giant Poops can be found
