Call Rebecca Black, because by Jove, it's finally Friday once more! Hope everybody has had a wonderful week, and is ready for an even wonderful-er weekend. I, for one, will be embarking on a 12 hour car ride up the coast to Portland for the summer, so get ready for hot mod summer 🕶

In any case, y'all aren't here for my life updates (probably), but for the fourth installment of Floor Discussions. And, indeed, we've finally made it to the final of the base Alt Path floors. Isaac is really the only time you get to rejoice when stumbling on a corpse, eh? But rejoice we shall, dorks and dweebs. Lean, mean, and certainly green, it's Corpse!

Corpse

• Corpse is the four of eight new floors added in Repentance (alongside Downpour, Dross, Mines, Ashpit, Mausoleum, Gehenna, and Home), and the final chapter of the "Alt Path" route

• Corpse is a decay-themed floor, featuring maggots, rotten enemies, noxious gas, and moving spike balls

• Corpse is the same "chapter" as Womb, meaning the floor has no Shops/Item Rooms, and Isaac takes full-heart damage

• Corpse can only be accessed from Mausoleum II using Knife Piece 1 & 2, Sharp Key, or Cracked Orb (sadly, Dad's Key, Mama Mega, and Mom's Knife don't work)

• The bosses of Corpse I are The Scourge, Rotgut, and Chimera; Corpse II will always feature Mother

• Corpse is the only multi-floor chapter without an alternate version (an unfinished one, Mortis, exists in the game's files, but is not currently planned for release)
