Character Discussion

Yawn, just...yawn. Weekends, man—nothing but time, and my body makes up for it by being frail and tired. Fragile, if you will. Able to be taken out in a single hit, even. Almost like, huh, today's character? Yes, my lovely dorks and dweebs, another week begins, but before then (if only just), we've got another Character Discussion to dive into. If you're thinking to yourself, wait a second, The Lost has been in the game for ages...well, you're right. But dang, that poor bastard has the most angry DLC markers I've ever seen on an Isaac Wiki page. It's an emotional roller coaster!

Whether you have """"fond"""" memories of slamming your head against a wall trying to knock out that Rebirth post-it or consider yourself a Lost Main™ with this, the more glorious Repentance incarnation, The Lost has been through a lot. Lost the way, perhaps? Or, heck, maybe this latest (and probably final) iteration of the character doesn't tickle your fancy. If we can take a look at items that have been given a makeover, why not take that same critical monocle to this fine specimen. Indeed, my wonderful people: let's get Lost 🕶

Items: Eternal D6, Holy Mantle (Unlockable)

Unlock: Die in a Sacrifice Room while holding Missing Poster

Character Attributes: It's The Lost, baby! The original nightmare character no longer entices you to hunt the nearest window for autodefenestration, but still packs a nasty punch. Gone are the days of hurling your run to the wind with a last-ditch D4 press; The Lost these days starts with the Eternal D6 (which has a 70% chance of rerolling your item, and a 30% chance of sending it to Kansas), along with Holy Mantle (once unlocked). And, of course, the little bugger comes bundled with Flight and Spectral Tears, to fulfill all your spectral duties. Naturally, reworks galore haven't changed The Lost's central conceit—one (mantle-less) hit is lights out.
