It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dork. How do you do, my lovely folks? I am...drained and confused. I had planned to post earlier (gasp), but fumbled it by going to watch a film. Alas, social obligations drag a dweeb down.

In any case, I'm here now, and that's all that counts. The weekend has come and gone, so Item Discussions are back on the menu. We cooled things way down last week with some icy items, and now it's time to dial that bad boy way back up. Hellish heat, some might even say—we're talking Sanguine Bond!

Sanguine Bond

Item Effect

• Spawns a special set of spikes in the Devil Room, which deal a full heart of damage

• Taking damage from the spikes has a chance to grant one of the following rewards: Nothing (42%), 6¢ (35%), +0.5 Damage (15%), 2 Black Hearts (5%), random item (2%), Leviathan transformation (1%)

• The spikes will not appear if the current floor's Devil Room was entered before picking up Sanguine Bond

• The spikes will deal damage to enemies that walk or fly over them (including Krampus)

Pools: Curse Room, Devil Room, Greed Devil Room, Greed Shop

Metadata: Quality 1, ID 692, Summonable, Not Available to Birthright Lost
