I am very fatigued, and so a very short post today. Turns out, Esau Jr. is actually a very rad item? I thought it sucked (and it might, I've never seen it), though it seems neat. But hey, that's for the court of public opinion. Item Discussion #149: Esau Jr. 🕶

Lost brother

• On use, swaps between the current character and Esau Jr, who has the same base stats, character-specific abilities, and starting passive (for all except Tainted Eden), as well as 3 Black Hearts, +2 Flat Damage, and flight

• When used for the first time, Esau Jr. immediately gains random items equal to the number of items (excluding key items like Polaroid/Negative) the original character had from the same pools (a la D4)

• Any pickups that would normally be generated by the new items will all simultaneously drop when Esau Jr. is first used

• Coins, bombs, and keys are shared, though everything else—hearts, items, cards/pills, trinkets—are not

• If either character dies, they both die, regardless of whether the other character has any remaining health

Active: 1 Room Charge

Pools: Secret Room, Item Room, Ultra Secret Room, Greed Secret Room, Greed Shop, Greed Item Room

Unlock: Defeat The Beast as Tainted Jacob

Metadata: Quality 2, ID 703, Available to Tainted Lost, Not Available for Cantripped!
